STEP 1: MAKE THE DOUGH

Prepare the dough per the instructions, wrap and refrigerate for 1/2 hour to firm up.

STEP 2: TINT THE DOUGH

Remove the dough and knead in some pink food coloring (just a tiny drop for light pink), until thoroughly mixed. Wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours or overnight before rolling and cutting.

STEP 3: ROLL, CUT AND BAKE

Remove 1/3 of the dough from the fridge and let sit for 10 minutes to soften slightly. On a floured surface, roll the dough to 1/8" thickness. Use a circle cutter to cut cookies out and place them on a parchment lined tray. Once on the tray, use the reverse side of a smaller cutter to make an inner indentation. Use a straw end to punch out 4 button holes. Place the tray in the fridge for 15 minutes to chill the cookies before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes until just very lightly browned. Repeat with remaining dough.
